Bamboo Playground

This bamboo playground took its inspiration from a beautiful big tree in the middle of the garden of the restaurant. The concept of the restaurant is to provide ample opportunity for children to play creatively with nature and thus give parents some time to relax and enjoy a high quality, healthy and delicious meal. While at the same time the parents are still able to observe and be with their children.

In the tropics a roof is a necessity for any playground to protect children and equipment from excessive sun or rain. The days without either are rather few. Our bamboo playground design combined the natural roof of the tree’s canopy with a bamboo roof encircling the tree as canopy extension. The tree’s natural structure is used as entrance to the different structures within the playground. These elements are all made of bamboo or natural ropes and give the children the chance to develop diverse aspects of coordinated climbing.
