Chiangmai Life Architects wins the Idea Tops Green Architecture Award 2017
We are very proud to announce that Chiangmai Life Architects won China’s most prestigious architecture award, the Idea Tops Green Architecture Award 2017 in Shenzhen for its project Bamboo Sports Hall at Panyaden International School.
The jury consisted of internationally renowned architects and academics such as Martha Thorne, the Executive Director of the Pritzker Prize and Dean of the IE School of Architecture Madrid, Massimiliano Fuksas who designed the Shenzhen airport and others. There were over 6,000 submissions and the jury had to work hard to reduce them to 18 winners in the 18 categories.
The award was given to Chiangmai Life Architects because of its integrative approach to modern sustainable architecture using bamboo trusses that were calculated by engineers to create a beautiful, strong and functional space with no carbon footprint.
